The Crowd and Riot control unit situated in DECIZE is subordinated to the 4^th Gendarmerie CRC Battalion HQ in DIJON, both belonging to the Lorraine gendarmerie area of responsibility.

Also known as “Le quartier Bel-Air”, the unit is settled on a 12 acre area in the outskirts of DECIZE. It is not very far from the town centre (10 minutes by foot). Besides, the local divisional gendarmerie unit is collocated with the CRC unit. The settlements are comprised of 137 accommodations and the unique military restaurant within the whole administrative department’s borders (“LA NIEVRE”- 58). There is a wide range of flats available for NCOs: F2, F3, F4 and F5 type within the 2 or 3-stages buildings. Commissioned officers are housed in F5 villas. The heating system is based on a fuel collective asset.

A primary school is located just opposite the unit.

The nearest college is located in NEVERS (22 miles away from DECIZE).
